I’m a writer, editor and multimedia producer. My stories have appeared in The Washington Post, NBCNewYork.com, NBC Latino, Fox News Latino, Philadelphia Weekly, WHYY-FM public radio, and Mission Local as well as Fader, Black Book, and Dazed & Confused magazines.

Before moving to California in 2008, I was the senior arts & entertainment and online editor at Philadelphia Weekly, where I wrote cover stories, features, and a news/urban culture column called “Straight Cupcakes.” After finishing the master’s program in TV/video and multimedia reporting at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, I went on to work as an editorial lead on Comcast’s “Excalibur” project, managing editor of NBC’s lifestyle startup The Feast, and senior multimedia editor for NBC Owned TV Stations.

I’ve recently returned to Brooklyn from Mexico where I spent four months studying Spanish and eating an insane amount of cuchinita pibil.
